Description
Syngoniums, also known as arrowhead plants or arrowhead vines, are popular houseplants known for their attractive foliage and easy care.
Plant and Pot Size : 23cm Height (from bottom)
Position : Syngoniums prefer bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch their leaves. They can tolerate lower light conditions but may not grow as vigorously.
Soil : Plant Syngoniums in a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. A mixture of peat moss, perlite, and compost works well. Repotting annually in spring can help refresh the soil and provide more space for growth.
Watering : Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Overwatering can lead to root rot, while underwatering can cause wilting and leaf drop.
Fertilise : Feed your Syngonium with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilization frequency in fall and winter.
Use : Provide a support structure such as a moss pole or trellis for climbing varieties to encourage upward growth and prevent them from becoming leggy.
Growing Tips : Mist spray regularly to create a humid environment.
